Ryla Jakelski

visual designer

Ryla Jakelski is a Canadian freelance artist and designer living in Berlin. She has a background in visual art, product and interior design. In 2014, she graduated with honours from Ryerson University’s School of Interior Design in Toronto and has since gained two years of international work experience at world-renowned interior design hospitality firm Yabu Pushelberg. Over the years, she has also initiated several personal projects, including "Hanging Matters" at Come Up to My Room in 2014 and "Wurst mit Hummus" in 2016.

Over the years, Ryla has lived in 5 countries, namely Canada, Belgium, Botswana, Australia and Germany, and speaks English, French (at a rusty fluent level) and German (at an intermediate level). She visited Berlin in 2014 and has since fallen in love with the city, feeling at home in the crossroads of people from all walks of life.
